This croissant is soft, sweet and perfect for breakfast or with a cup of tea or coffee. Using baking paper Rimmed® ndihmon në pjekjen e njëtrajtshme dhe ruajtjen e lagështisë së brumit.
Ingredients:
🔹 500 g white flour (type 00 or pastry flour)
🔹 100 g sugar
🔹 10 g dry yeast (or 25 g fresh yeast)
🔹 200 ml warm milk
🔹 2 eggs
🔹 100 g softened butter (at room temperature)
🔹 1 teaspoon salt
🔹 1 teaspoon vanilla or lemon zest for flavor
For the coating:
🔹 1 egg yolk
🔹 1 tablespoon milk
Preparation
1. Preparing the dough
- In a small bowl, mix the warm milk with the yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let it rest for 10 minutes, until it foams on the surface.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, remaining sugar, and salt.
- Add the eggs, yeast mixture and flavoring of choice (vanilla or lemon zest).
- Start kneading the dough and then add the softened butter in small pieces.
2. Kneading and rising of the dough
- Knead the dough for 10-15 minutes, until it becomes elastic and smooth.
- Cover with a cloth and let it rise for 1.5-2 hours, or until it doubles in volume.
3. Forming the croissants
- Line a baking sheet with baking paper with raised sides to avoid the dough from spilling.
- Once the dough has risen, divide it into 10-12 balls and place them in the pan.
- Let them rise for another 30-40 minutes.
4. Painting and baking
- Mix the egg yolk with the milk and brush the surface of the croissants.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.

💡 Tip: For a softer croissant, cover them with a clean napkin as soon as they come out of the oven.
